(This Ponysona is heavily based on the Garif from Final Fantasy 12.)

Past: Golem was a member of a tribe of bat ponies that lived deep in the Everfree Forest. He was the strongest member of his tribe, and because of this, he was very much liked and respected by his other tribesmen. His tribe was constantly at war with stone golems that lived in a cave not too far from tribe's home. One day, while out hunting for food with some other tribesmen, they were attacked by a particularly large rock monster, which is what his tribe called them. Golem fought and destroyed the beast, earning him his cutie mark, a golem's head. He gained a lot of respect and admiration from his fellow tribesmen that day. His tribe was a very reclusive lot, and due to this, they did not want anything to do with outsiders. If one of the tribe was ever caught helping an outsider, they were exiled from the tribe. This never was an issue, because none of the tribe ever did such a thing... until one fateful day. Hoity Toity was being escorted through the Everfree Forest to get to Canterlot for a fashion show... he never made it there. He and his entourage were attacked by the rock monsters. All of them managed to escape... except Hoity. He had been cornered, and badly hurt by the monsters. Just as the beasts were about to finish him off, Golem attacked and destroyed them. He looked at the pony they were attacking... he saw how badly Hoity needed help, and, while he knew he would be in a lot of trouble for helping an outsider, he took him back to his home, and nursed him back to health. He managed to keep Hoity a secret from the rest of his tribe for quite some time before they found out. When they did, he was ridiculed, and exiled from the tribe. He took Hoity with him to the only pony his tribe trusted... Zecora. With her help, they managed to get Hoity Toity back to full health. Hoity, wanting to thank Golem for his help, offered Golem the chance to come with him, and see what it was like in the world outside of the Everfree Forest. Golem agreed, since he had nowhere else to go. He followed Hoity Toity to Canterlot, and soon after, Hoity Toity made Golem his official bodyguard. Golem was happy, as Hoity and Zecora were his only friends now... but he knew he would make more, given time. Hoity didn't know it, but as the months went by, Golem started to fall in love with him... and it showed. How Hoity Toity feels about this has yet to be seen. Golem still works as Hoity Toity's bodyguard, and has met many, many new ponies and become friends with them. He still has yet to confess his love for Hoity Toity.
